New Jersey American Water (NJAW) aimed to enhance the reliability of their water service by rehabilitating a vital 60-inch water transmission main that serves over 984,000 customers. The project involved reinforcing approximately 3,560 feet of the pipeline to extend its service life by more than 50 years.
Located in a densely populated urban area, the pipeline’s rehabilitation had to be executed without disrupting its hydraulic performance or requiring excavation. STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES’ StrongPIPE® V-Wrap™ Carbon Fiber System emerged as the ideal solution. As an exclusive licensee, STRUCTURAL installed the system efficiently, renewing the critical pipeline with a minimal construction footprint and avoiding significant disruptions to the surrounding community.
